Tiny Rails

Tiny Rails is a unique, comfortable resource management PC Game with interesting pixel art and some really nice graphic effects on PC (to be honest, I spent most of my time with it on mobile). This makes me want to go back to the office with a second monitor so that it can work in the future. If you are looking for a solid, “plate-spinning” sim game, this is probably not for you, but if you are open to a lot of retro styles from a quiet and different approach, take a look.

Gameplay

Yes, obviously it started as a phone game, but I feel like the PC transfer was well done. So it is a very casual game with no time constraints. It’s the kind of game I like to play while I work. Just to have it run on one of my other screens and play every time.
The basic game mechanics are generally a very clever idea and I love how amazing it does not get boring. You would think watching the whole day on the train would increase a bit, but I personally enjoy the ride. There is always something you can plan ahead, lots of stations and cars that make things all interesting. I took the plunge to do it once or twice to get the notes

Graphics

Good lord, the graphics are awesome! And as a fellow artist, I greatly appreciate the “regular” use of pixel art. I found that some games that use pixel art will not be used the way they should be and I just removed it from the game. So this is a big bonus for me. The trains are all awesome and many of the cards are truly unique, or Pakalkal eggs. I really appreciate that we have the option to focus on more “realistic” cars and not need to use those that seem intentionally stupid. All the materials of the future are a pleasure to look at and I can not imagine how much time has been worked on everything individually and also how well they fit together in one scene. Honestly, if you are a student of pixel art, I would just recommend the game to look at the graphics!
